The Tenth Circle

tenth_circleIn a reference to Dante’s Inferno, Jodie Picoult deals in the novel with the various forms of personal hell family members go through when their daughter is raped by her ex-boyfriend.

This is not a book I probably would have read if it wasn’t my latest pick-up in the audio section at the library.  The truth gets swirled around a lot and rather confused in this, and yet somehow it all still seems predictable.

I seriously hope Picoult’s version of life as a fourteen-year-old doesn’t resemble the truth for many teenagers out there. It is shocking.
